Grandwood Faux Wood Blinds

These blinds can take the abuse and still come out smiling. This doesn't mean that you 3 year old can swing on them but it does mean that they are not easily broken, bent or destroyed.

They come in four colors white, alabaster, white wash and golden oak. The golden oak like any fauxwood wood color doesn't have that grainy wood look up close and personal but from a distance looks good.

The standard position for the controls are lift cord on the right and the wand tilt control on the left.

They come with a fairly good looking valance that clips on the headrail, they even include brackets and side pieces for outside mounted blinds. The clips are like any that come with faux or wood blind not much good.

I would throw the clips away and use small strips of industrial velcro to attach the valance. You are going to need to in 8 or 9 months anyway so save yourself some aggravation down the road and use the velcro now.

Grand wood 2 faux wood blinds are like any horizontal blinds and need to be cleaned occasionally and dusted on a regular basis. We have an article on cleaning metal window blinds which applies equally as well to the vinyl faux wood blinds as it does to the metal blinds.

They special ordered their blinds from the home depot and got them delivered right to their door. I had measured the windows for them and the blinds fit perfectly right out of the box.
